IBM sometimes begins their new product or consulting service expansion by first making changes with their own employees. In the past, IBM has taken this approach with mobile and virtual office, learner-centric online learning, etc. Looks like the approach must work for them since they are putting $10 million in virtual environments and their presence in Second Life.
