Virtual Worlds provide summer jobs for students in slowed economy

Interesting article from The Wall Street Journal on how students are using their virtual world skills to make money in response to the downturn in the number of real world summer jobs for 2008. These are the people coming our way as employees and patient family members. This economic downturn could be a definable moment for them as they go to work everyday in their parent's homes. Working from home in a virtual world also increases opportunities for exposure for digital immigrants ( ala parents, grandparents, etc) and offers experience with reverse mentoring outside the workplace.
